Family History: His parents met while working for the Order of the Phoenix and started a rather unconventional relationship after the death of his father's long-time love Sirius Black (a fact Teddy doesn't yet know). They married during the worst days of the Second Voldemort War and Teddy was born less than nine months later, a fact that entertains him greatly. His father was killed by Mulciber during the final battle, his mother killed by her Aunt Bellatrix while trying to find her husband.

Teddy was raised by his grandmother Andromeda and his godfather Harry. He is fanatically loyal to his family, and anyone else who has battered their way into his heart, and adores his 'siblings', James, Albus and Lily.

Home: Small flat in Wizarding London, bought unwillingly with money from his godfather. It was only after Harry near-begged that Teddy gave into his desires to get away from his coddling grandmother and have his own space

Personal History: Teddy has no memories of his parents, being mere months old when they died. His earliest memories are of his grandmother's fierce, overprotective love and the joy that visits from his Uncle Harry brought. He was nearly five before he realised that his 'Uncle' was not actually related to him, something that seemed to him, at that young age, to make him Harry's 'responsibility', and as such a burden to him. It took nearly a year before he was willing to see Harry again, convinced by a combination of his grandmother's tears and Harry's determination. The relationship eventually recovered, but Teddy never again used the term 'Uncle' in relation to Harry.

He knew he was a Metamorphmagus from an early age, and discovered that his hair and eyes tended to change colours when he felt any unexpected emotion. Spurred by Andromeda's sad affection at the fact that his mother had done the same thing, Teddy learned to pay careful attention to his own emotions, and as such be able to regulate his own reactions to them. This started the habit of changing his hair colour when he believes he is expected to feel a certain emotion, which tends to fool almost everyone who does not know him extremely well. Will even use pink on occasion - he doesn't consider it solely a girl's colour, and doesn't understand why colour should be divided by gender anyway.

He got the expected Hogwarts letter at eleven; when he arrived at Hogwarts, the hat originally wanted to put him in Hufflepuff, the house his mother had been in. When Teddy looked in the mirror, however, he saw the spitting image of his mother. Wanting this connection to his father, he insisted the hat put in in Gryffindor, something it capitulated to as he certainly had enough of his father's Gryffindor personality in him to fit in properly.

This aspect of his personality was nurtured in Gryffindor House and by the end of his seventh year, he had been both Quidditch Captain and Head Boy, to Harry's extreme pride. However he also learned the concept of involving oneself in other's problems and the dangers that came along with it. After a few instances when Teddy's reckless hotheadedness got other people in trouble, he started to harden himself against them; he was not about to stop trying to save the world, but he was going to ensure he had a better plan and no one to hurt with it.

The time spent at Hogwarts had put him in the path of countless other families who had been damaged by the war, and by the end of it, Teddy had become determined to prevent this ever happening again. He joined the Auror department, amid many calls of 'nepotism', all of which he carefully ignored. He did well in training, and was put on active duty at the end of it, investigating the increasing disappearances of British Witches and Wizards.

After that, he became even more annoyed when people wanted long-term commitments. At first it was because he did not want to lose anyone else, but as his sense of purpose was defined more clearly, he became set on not letting anything sway him from what he wanted to do.
